Today 7 years ago marks the day Ecohog Ltd received their first ever award! Ecohog were awarded with the prestige award for ‘Innovation in Export Category’ by the IFactory which was managed by Northern Ireland Business and Innovation Centre and led by North West Regional College.
The IFactory was an EU funded programme which delivered tailored support to help people get their businesses running and develop to the next levels.
This award was a real confidence boost for Ecohog as it was wonderful to get early stage recognition for innovation efforts. The ‘Innovation in Export Category’ award provided Ecohog with great ambition to drive forward in developing the business further. The award acknowledged Ecohog’s first Windshifter sales internationally exporting to Finland which is still a core business. The business has continued to strive onwards becoming a global export company now exporting into 17 different countries worldwide including; Australia, New Zealand, USA, Bahrain and the Baltics.
Not only have Ecohog evolved with exporting into many different countries, they have also appointed representatives in numerous countries to meet the demands of their customers. Hitting the ground running for 2021, Ecohog have signed continuous new agents to continue their business growth with Italy and Belgium reaching as most recent new markets.
With over 30 years expertise within the waste and recycling sector Ecohog have seen strong growth over the past few years and to receive awards along the journey is even better. To being awarded for Innovation in exporting in 2013 to receiving a Gold Medal at the Poznan International Trade Fair in Poland for the EH1500-SM1 Windshifter in 2019 and recent recognition as Department of Economy, Platinum Level Innovator turning ideas into value. Ecohog’s experience and ongoing investment in innovation and product development is reaping rewards in assisting company growth.
